French Concrete Industry Federation (FIB) - Customer Case Study

The French Concrete Industry Federation (FIB), together with technical partner CERIB, sought to overcome persistent information silos in construction by creating reliable, structured product data to support BIM across the asset lifecycle. To drive this digital transformation FIB partnered with Cobuilder, using Cobuilder’s award‑winning data platform and goBIM solution to translate industry knowledge into standardised data templates and a branded digital catalogue.

Cobuilder worked with FIB to create and populate data templates, delivering a branded catalogue of 301 generic object templates with 3,139 properties and digitising product information for more than twenty product families in one year; PO BIM content was also integrated into the Cobuilder platform. The result is machine‑readable, standardised data for use in BIM—enabling better analysis, simulation, clash detection and real‑time cost control—and giving FIB autonomy to manage and disseminate its digital product catalogue via Cobuilder.
