Doctolib Builds a Healthier Data Culture With a Better Data Catalog

Doctolib, a Paris-based healthtech company serving more than 80 million patients and 400,000 health professionals, needed a better way to scale data self-service and governance across the organization. Its previous data catalog was too technical for broad adoption, lacked reliable integrations and end-to-end lineage, and made it difficult for the Data Governance team to understand downstream impacts and support secure data discovery. Doctolib chose Coalesce Catalog to become a more user-friendly single source of truth for data.

With Coalesce Catalog, Doctolib ran a proof of concept, validated the solution with 30+ beta testers, and rolled it out company-wide with an internal adoption campaign. The impact was significant: monthly active users grew from about 100 to 600 at launch, more than 60 product and tech teams began using the catalog, and governance improved through restored KPIs and code-based, auditable data classification. Coalesce helped Doctolib turn its catalog into a widely used, self-service platform that saved the governance team time and strengthened data trust.
