Boels Equips, the European equipment rental company Boels Rental, needed a modern data foundation to support rapid growth, frequent acquisitions, and a patchwork of legacy systems. Its data engineering team was spending too much time hand-coding ETL logic, dealing with performance issues, and struggling to integrate systems like SQL Server, Qlik, and Cramo’s reporting stack. Vendor Coalesce, used alongside Snowflake and Fivetran, was brought in to help streamline data transformation and Data Vault development.

Coalesce helped Boels build a new Snowflake-based data stack with automated, Snowflake-optimized Data Vault workflows, reducing Data Vault development time by 10x. The team was able to create views on 50 Snowflake tables in 2 hours instead of 2 days and generate 400 Snowflake objects in just 10 minutes with Coalesce Nodes. By standardizing development and eliminating much of the repetitive coding, Coalesce enabled Boels to move faster, reduce errors, and better support future acquisitions and analytics use cases.
