A CO2 AI Case Study
Reckitt, a global leader in health, hygiene, and nutrition, set an ambitious target to cut its Scope 3 emissions by 50% by 2030. With these emissions making up the vast majority of its carbon footprint, the challenge was gaining the detailed, actionable data needed to measure and reduce emissions across its extensive supplier network and thousands of products. To address this, Reckitt partnered with vendor CO2 AI and its sustainability platform to move from measuring for reporting to measuring for decision-making.
Using CO2 AI's Generative AI capabilities, Reckitt automated the categorization of its emissions data, which drastically improved the process's speed and accuracy. The solution enabled them to collect over 300,000 data points and build a footprint of 25,000 individual products, increasing their accuracy by 75 times. This precise data allowed them to identify key reduction initiatives and build a strategic roadmap, empowering their teams to take targeted action and significantly contribute to their net-zero ambitions.
