Restaurant Brands International raises the bar for quality excellence

Restaurant Brands International, one of the world’s largest quick service restaurant companies (Burger King, Tim Hortons, and Popeyes; $30B+ in system-wide sales, 25,000+ restaurants across 100+ countries), faced rapid growth and a complex operating environment with siloed legacy systems, manual time‑consuming processes, poor data transparency, and difficulty maintaining consistent quality at scale. In late 2014 RBI engaged CMX to develop its Supplier Performance and Enterprise Quality (SPEQ) solution on the CMX1 platform to standardize processes while preserving regional flexibility.

CMX implemented the CMX1‑based SPEQ platform to centralize supplier, distributor, lab and product specification data and to automate supplier onboarding, audits, product testing, nutrition/allergen calculations, incident management, and performance scorecards. The solution now covers all three RBI brands across 100+ countries and 25,000+ restaurants, automates nightly audit and lab data feeds, runs monthly supplier scorecards, and gives RBI faster, data‑driven oversight—enabling continued global growth while improving supplier/product quality, compliance and reporting thanks to CMX.
