Integrating a Well Replicated Disaster Recovery Solution that can be Managed from One Interface

ES&H, an environmental cleanup and waste management company based in Houma, Louisiana, needed a better way to consolidate data, improve its virtual environment, and strengthen disaster recovery and business continuity. Working with CMA Technology Solutions, the company sought to move away from outdated equipment and a Microsoft Hyper-V-based infrastructure while supporting applications such as Exchange, SQL, Dynamics, SharePoint, and BES.

CMA Technology Solutions implemented VMware Site Recovery Manager for replication and failover between ES&H’s Houma and Houston sites, along with Veeam for backup, after moving the environment to VMware. The result was a highly stable, centrally managed virtual environment that used fewer physical devices, leveraged existing server and storage investments, and provided a well-replicated disaster recovery solution that simplified testing and real recovery scenarios.
