A Clustrix Case Study
Afftrack is a fast-growing SaaS affiliate-marketing platform that tracks clicks, prevents fraud, and provides campaign analytics. Rapid adoption of its disruptive flat-fee pricing created huge, time-sensitive transaction volumes that MySQL could not handle, so Afftrack needed a MySQL‑compatible, horizontally scalable, ACID-compliant database that could sustain heavy write and read loads and tolerate node failures.
Afftrack replaced MySQL with ClustrixDB, initially deploying an 11‑node cluster and then expanding to identical clusters in twelve regional datacenters. ClustrixDB’s automatic data distribution and distributed query processing delivered near-linear read/write scale, lower latency, and resilient failover, enabling 99.999% uptime, faster response times, and a highly available, geographically distributed service that Afftrack now markets as a competitive advantage.
