Infogix Uses Clumio on AWS to Automate Backups and Reduce Storage Costs

Infogix, a provider of data governance and management software, needed a better way to back up its AWS-based Data360 SaaS platform after its aging on-premises backup environment became too complex and costly to manage. The company was spending too much time maintaining VMware vSphere backups, planning storage, and dealing with rising cloud replication costs.

Infogix turned to Clumio’s backup-as-a-service platform on AWS to automate backups and protection for its vSphere workloads, writing deduplicated, compressed, and encrypted data directly to Amazon S3. With Clumio, Infogix eliminated its on-premises backup footprint, reduced operational workloads by 75 percent, and cut data backup and storage costs by at least 10 percent, while also improving recovery and compliance readiness.
