Empatico, an education initiative of The KIND Foundation based in New York, needed a simple, clearly structured tool to manage software development as a small but growing distributed team. With classrooms connected worldwide through videoconferencing, the company wanted a workflow that would work out of the box and give its engineering and product lead visibility into progress.

Empatico implemented Clubhouse, using its structured workflow and GitHub integration to organize epics, stories, code review, and deployment. Clubhouse made it easy to set up quickly and scale from two users to thirteen without changing the process, helping the remote-first team stay aligned. As a result, Empatico has engaged hundreds of classrooms in more than forty countries, supported by a development process that keeps work transparent and continuously deployable.
