Looker wanted to make its JOIN conference more sustainable by measuring and offsetting the carbon footprint of attendees’ travel in real time. To do that, the company used Cloverly’s Sustainability as a Service API alongside its Looker data platform during the keynote demo.

Cloverly helped Looker estimate and purchase renewable energy certificates and offsets based on attendee travel data, then send personalized carbon-offset messages to attendees. The entire process took less than 10 minutes and successfully greened the conference travel footprint for more than 750 attendees, showing a fast, affordable way to drive measurable environmental impact.
