A CloudSponge Case Study
Nextdoor, the private social network for neighborhoods, needed a better way to help users invite and connect with neighbors while also scaling into new countries with different email and contact sources. To do that, the company turned to CloudSponge and its Address Book Widget so users could easily import contacts from web-based address books during onboarding and invitation flows.
By integrating CloudSponge, Nextdoor was able to speed up contact-source coverage, reduce maintenance work across multiple webmail providers, and improve invitation performance at scale. The results were significant: address book imports increased by more than 300%, viral growth from email invitations became one of Nextdoor’s largest growth channels, and the company successfully expanded into new markets including the Netherlands and the UK with less operational overhead.
