Nuzzel, a personalized news discovery and curated newsletter platform, needed a better way to grow through referrals. Their existing process required users to leave the app, find contacts in different email systems, and manually copy and paste email addresses, which was slow and limited referral activity. To avoid the time and cost of building their own integrations, they looked for an easier third-party solution.

Nuzzel implemented CloudSponge’s Address Book Widget to let users quickly import and refer contacts from major email providers directly within the app. With CloudSponge, implementation took about one day, saved thousands in engineering and development costs, and helped boost average referrals per user from about five to 100 or more—a 1,900% increase. Nuzzel also reported that 90% of platform growth now comes from referrals using CloudSponge.
