Pmi Launches Cloud Transformation Programme to Support Business Evolution

Philip Morris International (PMI), a leading international tobacco company, faced the challenge of transforming its business to focus on smoke-free products. To drive this evolution, PMI needed to modernize its IT by migrating over 500 applications to the cloud, standardize processes, and leverage new technologies for greater efficiency and innovation. The company engaged vendor Cloudreach to support its Cloud Transformation Programme.

Cloudreach provided cloud architects, engineers, and project managers to partner with PMI. The solution involved training PMI's technical staff, using Cloudreach's Cloudamize software to inventory servers, and modernizing legacy applications from Windows to open source on AWS. This enabled PMI to successfully onboard customers to its new platform, maintain an up-to-date migration plan, and complete complex pilot migrations.
