A Cloudreach Case Study
Cloudreach partnered with a large payment technology company that was struggling to deploy a modern microservices architecture on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) due to the strict segregation and security requirements of the financial industry. Their challenge was to create a secure, fault-tolerant environment that isolated network traffic and development environments without slowing down their pace of innovation, all while avoiding the high cost of managing numerous individual AKS clusters.
The solution implemented by Cloudreach was a multi-cluster service mesh architecture using the open-source tools Istio and Admiral. This approach left the core applications untouched while providing the necessary enterprise features like traffic routing, security, and automatic failover through sidecar proxies. As a result, Cloudreach empowered the customer with a resilient environment that accelerated deployment cycles, improved developer productivity, and enabled the secure migration of new microservices-based applications.
