Case Study: Village of Pemberton boosts building inspection efficiency with Cloudpermit

The Village of Pemberton, British Columbia, was looking to modernize its building permitting and inspection process to reduce the back-and-forth involved in scheduling inspections and to improve efficiency for staff and residents. In spring 2021, the municipality adopted Cloudpermit for building permitting and inspections to streamline these workflows.

With Cloudpermit, the Village of Pemberton enabled online inspection booking, remote inspections, and automated status notifications for residents and builders. According to the case study, about half of building inspection requests now come in online instead of by phone or email, paper applications are no longer needed, and the department was able to hire two remote building inspectors—delivering greater efficiency, improved transparency, and easier communication throughout the permit process.
