A Cloudpermit Case Study
Seneca County faced a growing need to modernize building permitting, code enforcement, and business licensing across the county (including the Town of Waterloo) to eliminate paper workflows, reduce server and storage burdens, and improve resident access. To address these challenges the county selected Cloudpermit’s community development software, becoming New York’s 60th local government to adopt the platform.
Cloudpermit implemented a cloud-based system with a single account for countywide access, unlimited user licenses, and mobile-enabled inspections, allowing the county’s four accessors to work online 24/7. The solution is expected to cut the county’s carbon footprint in half by reducing paper and office storage, enables over 33,000 residents to submit applications and schedule inspections online, and has reduced back-and-forth for staff while improving collaboration, accountability, and scalability.
