An Easy Building Permit Process: The City of Darien Partners with Cloudpermit to Bring Building Permits Online

The City of Darien, Georgia, sought to modernize and simplify its paper-based building permit process, which was time-consuming for both staff and citizens. To address this challenge, the city partnered with vendor Cloudpermit to implement its cloud-based community development software for permitting.

Cloudpermit provided an online, user-friendly solution that ensures applications are complete before submission and allows building inspections to be conducted and managed from the field. This streamlined process gave time back to both the inspector and applicants. As a result, the City of Darien became the first local government in Georgia to launch an online permitting system with Cloudpermit, significantly improving the experience for its 1,500 citizens.
