Nando’s Pay flexibility to attract and retain talent

Nando’s Singapore partnered with CloudPay to address recruitment and retention challenges in a tight jobs market by launching CloudPay NOW, a pay-on-demand solution for roughly 150 employees. The business needed to offer pay flexibility without abandoning mandatory monthly payslips, reduce reliance on advance payrolls for festivals, and better compete with gig-economy pay frequency—all while preserving existing payroll and finance processes.

CloudPay implemented CloudPay NOW so staff can access earned wages via an app the day after working, while retaining monthly payslips and requiring no changes to payroll reporting; CloudPay also supported employee communications for rollout. The solution is being rolled out to ~150 employees in Singapore, removes the wait until month-end payday, and is expected to lower recruitment and retention costs (agencies, advertising and referral bonuses) while strengthening Nando’s employee value proposition.
