Teach For America Uses CloudLock to Increase Operational Efficiency

Teach For America is a national nonprofit that places top graduates and professionals in classrooms to expand educational opportunity, with a network that includes more than 10,000 teachers, nearly 28,000 alumni, and 2,300 staff. During its intensive summer training—when 5,800 first-year teachers need to collaborate and access shared documents—TFA faced a BYOD environment and limited hardware, plus the recurring burden of auditing hundreds of accounts and securing donor and corps member data after each training and staff transition.

TFA implemented CloudLock on top of Google Apps to discover and monitor apps and files, automate bulk permission changes, transfer ownership with full audit logs, and send exposure notifications. The solution let administrators quickly verify and remediate incorrect sharing, rely on ongoing monitoring to prevent future exposures, and reclaim hours of manual work for strategic projects—giving TFA stronger data protection and much greater operational efficiency.
