Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre is a leading cancer hospital with a world-class biorepository that collects thousands of biospecimens each month. Facing manual, spreadsheet-based workflows, error-prone annotations, difficulty maintaining parent–child sample relationships, inconsistent controlled vocabularies, and slow, paper-based request processing, the Centre engaged CloudLIMS to provide an automated laboratory information management solution.

CloudLIMS implemented a configurable LIMS that imported legacy data, enforced CAP/NCI controlled vocabularies, linked parent–child records, generated storage location identifiers, enabled batch registration, and automated the sample request life cycle with electronic approvals, consent tracking, role-based access and audit trails; it also helped achieve HIPAA and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
