Stylight is a Munich-based fashion and lifestyle search engine that aggregates more than 1,000 shops and millions of products for users in 16 countries. With a very small development team (about five developers) and tens of thousands of new images added weekly—often 50,000+ when a new store launches—Stylight struggled to manage, optimize and deliver millions of images quickly across devices and regions while maintaining uptime and a fast, responsive user experience.
Stylight adopted Cloudinary to automate image management and on-the-fly transformations (automatic format/quality selection, lazy loading, REST API integration) and to leverage multi‑CDN delivery. The result: new stores go live in under two hours, page load time improved by ~100 ms, click-out conversion rates rose 0.4–2.2%, revenue per visit increased 0.5–2.4%, and the company avoided significant staffing and hosting overhead.
