Keep.com, an online commerce startup focused on discovering and buying trending fashion, decor, accessories, and design, was struggling with a major image-processing bottleneck. As its app grew, Keep spent increasing developer time managing image transformations for hundreds of thousands of images, and every redesign required reprocessing existing assets, slowing releases and adding complexity. Cloudinary provided Keep with fast on-demand image processing, automatic caching, and a simple fetch interface for integrating with Rackspace-hosted images. With Cloudinary, Keep cut release time for new image sizes from overnight processing to about 10 minutes and saved nearly half of one full-time developer’s time, with image-management effort dropping to nearly zero.
