Case Study: rediCloud achieves scalable, easy-to-manage multi-tenant S3 storage with Cloudian HyperStore

rediCloud Adds a Storage Offering to its Cloud Services Portfolio with Cloudian S3-Compatible Object Storage

rediCloud, an enterprise-grade cloud service provider and division of ATSG, needed an easy-to-manage, S3‑compatible, multi-tenant object storage solution after its first vendor proved unreliable and administratively intensive. To deliver turnkey, scalable storage and data protection services to its customers, rediCloud evaluated options and selected Cloudian’s HyperStore software deployed on Cisco UCS servers.

Cloudian implemented HyperStore to provide full S3 API compatibility, role-based multi-tenancy, QoS controls, a self-service portal, and Rubrik backup integration. The Cloudian solution eliminated the operational headaches of the prior system (for example, engineers can now replace disks and perform maintenance themselves), enabled rapid, cost‑efficient scaling to meet growing backup demand, and reduced ongoing administration and operating costs for rediCloud.
