NTT builds ideal storage platform for customers with HPE, Cloud28+, and Cloudian

NTT, a managed IT service provider, needed a more affordable and scalable way to store rapidly growing volumes of unstructured data and archived files while keeping backup and restore costs under control. Its legacy storage environment was expensive, manual to manage, and slow to recover, making it hard for NTT to meet customer SLA requirements. To address this, NTT chose Cloudian HyperStore software as part of a software-defined storage strategy.

NTT implemented Cloudian HyperStore on HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers and HPE Nimble Storage, creating a more efficient backup and archive platform with stronger multitenancy, security, and scalability. With Cloudian, NTT cut backup times from 12–16 hours to 4–6 hours, reduced its storage footprint significantly, and improved restore SLAs, while also opening the door to new services such as medical imaging and video streaming storage.
