Move AS scales to 30 customers and 1.2 PB with Cloudian

Move AS, a Norwegian IT consulting and service provider, faced increasing customer demand for robust ransomware protection and data sovereignty solutions as an alternative to global hyperscalers. To address this, they partnered with Cloudian to launch a new storage service based on Cloudian’s HyperStore object storage.

The solution utilized Cloudian's S3 Object Lock to create immutable backups, seamlessly integrated with Veeam, providing automatic ransomware protection within the backup workflow. This sovereign cloud service enabled Move AS to deliver hyperscaler-like benefits while keeping data in Norway. As a result, Move AS attracted approximately 30 customers, nearly exhausted its initial 1.2 PB capacity, and plans to purchase an additional 400 TB, driving business growth by delivering greater customer value and effective ransomware recovery.
