Federal Hill Solutions (FHS), a managed service provider serving clients like Unilever and Johns Hopkins, needed a scalable, cost‑effective private cloud backup and DRaaS that was multi‑tenant and fully Amazon S3‑compatible. To avoid public‑cloud egress fees and provide predictable month‑to‑month billing, FHS evaluated S3‑enabled options and selected Cloudian (deployed as the Lenovo DX8200C powered by Cloudian) to meet their multi‑tenant, QoS, and billing requirements.

FHS deployed the Lenovo DX8200C powered by Cloudian to deliver out‑of‑the‑box multi‑tenancy, billing/chargeback, QoS, quotas and native S3 interoperability. With Cloudian, FHS completed a fast pilot supporting 118 TB on three nodes, realized predictable costs with no data transfer charges, reported zero S3 interoperability issues, and is now planning expansion to Dallas and other global data centers—improving uptime and customer satisfaction.
