CASALE SA, a century-old leader in ammonia and chemical process technologies, faced an outdated storage environment that prevented secure worldwide administration, access control and collaboration among geographically dispersed scientists. Cloudian deployed two HyperStore clusters—a public-facing collaboration cluster for file sharing and a private IT cluster for Veeam backup and disaster recovery (with a remote node at Swisscom)—providing S3‑compatibility, mirrored multi‑data‑center replication, automated cloud tiering, encryption, and seamless VMware integration.
