Système U, a major French food distribution group, sought a solution to provide customers with a smooth and secure Wi-Fi authentication process across its 1500 stores. To enhance this key part of their digital customer experience, they partnered with vendor Cloudi-Fi to deploy its cloud-based Captive Portal solution.

Cloudi-Fi implemented its solution, which is security platform agnostic and features a branded captive portal for authentication and marketing. The deployment, integrated with Cisco Meraki access points and natively with Zscaler ZIA for security, simplified large-scale rollout and provided centralized management. As a result, store managers gained autonomy to customize the portal, and the IT team received detailed deployment reports. The solution is successfully scaling, with an average of 100 new users connecting per store each month, and nearly half of all visitors opt for social media login, providing Système U with valuable, GDPR-compliant customer insights.
