A CloudHesive Case Study

Preview of the ClassWallet Case Study

ClassWallet helps K-12 schools as they migrate to Amazon Web Services

ClassWallet is an education technology platform that helps K-12 schools manage and track funding, teacher receipts, club expenditures, and other school spending. As the company grew to more than 2,000 schools and 63,000 classrooms across 15 states, it needed help securing and managing its AWS environment while also preparing for PCI and SOC 2 Type 2 certification. ClassWallet partnered with CloudHesive to fill gaps in cloud security, DevOps, and ongoing infrastructure management.

CloudHesive implemented a security-focused AWS solution that included hardened OS images, standardized host redeployment, centralized logging for Docker and instance activity, Active Directory authentication, backup management, and a best-practice CI/CD approach aligned with compliance needs. CloudHesive also worked directly with ClassWallet’s auditors and continues to provide vulnerability assessments and managed services. The result was a more secure, auditable, and scalable environment that lets ClassWallet focus on growing its business and supporting more schools while maintaining PCI and security controls.
