Idemia, a provider of civil identity platforms for DMVs, faced challenges modernizing its legacy .NET Framework applications running on Windows VMs and SQL Server for 45 tenants. The tightly coupled system led to high costs, security vulnerabilities, and an inability to efficiently onboard new tenants. To address this, Idemia partnered with CloudHedge to accelerate its modernization efforts.

Using its CHAI DART and CHAI Flow products, CloudHedge automated the assessment and conversion of the applications to .NET 8 running on Linux containers deployed on Amazon EKS. This solution enabled Idemia to achieve a 4x faster conversion compared to a manual approach, which was critical for their 45-tenant platform. The project also resulted in up to a 40% reduction in operational costs by eliminating Windows and SQL Server licensing fees and improving infrastructure efficiency.
