BMW cuts run-rate 55% with CloudHedge

BMW's APAC dealer tracking and delivery platform, a critical application for regional dealer interactions, was running on an expensive, region-bound infrastructure with three provisioned hosts. This setup was carbon-heavy, slow to scale, and difficult to operate. The challenge for BMW was to modernize this application, standardize its runtime, and reduce its operational footprint without rewriting code or causing dealer downtime, a task with an industry baseline of 14 to 18 months. CloudHedge was engaged to address this using their CHAI DART and CHAI Flow products.

CloudHedge implemented a solution where CHAI DART performed a Tri-Vector Assessment to create a containerization plan, and CHAI Flow then containerized the application onto Amazon EKS. This consolidated the three hosts onto a single, shared cluster. The project was delivered in just five months, slashing the operational run-rate by 55% and compressing release cycles from months to days while maintaining six-nines (99.9999%) uptime throughout the cutover with zero dealer disruption.
