Case Study: Cadence achieves faster, more efficient cloud development with CloudHealth Technologies

A CloudHealth Technologies Case Study

Preview of the Cadence Case Study

CloudHealth & Six Nines IT help Cadence run faster and more efficiently through the cloud

Cadence Design Systems, a provider of chip‑design software for the EDA industry, faced severe resource contention in a single shared server farm that caused inconsistent, slow regression testing and frustrated developers. They needed a more cost‑effective, agile, and consistent compute model but had limited in‑house cloud experience.

Cadence engaged Six Nines IT to architect a migration of developer workloads to AWS and implemented CloudHealth for continuous monitoring and optimization. By isolating workloads in the cloud they cut regression times from 4–8 hours to under one hour, enabled faster iterations, and reduced costs through reserved and Spot instances (with some noncritical jobs running at nearly half the original cost), while using CloudHealth’s tools for RI optimization, budgeting, and multi‑cloud visibility.
