ILC Dover Leverages CloudExtend Excel to Speed Up Salesforce Data Cleansing & Updating

ILC Dover, an engineering and manufacturing company known for its high-performance flexible materials and protective equipment, needed a better way to cleanse and update Salesforce data after years of system growth, multiple admins, and increasingly messy records. Using Salesforce Data Loader was slow and manual, and tasks like updating owners and preparing reports could take 15–20 minutes each time. ILC Dover turned to CloudExtend Excel for Salesforce to make data handling easier for its team, many of whom were more comfortable working in Excel.

With CloudExtend, ILC Dover was able to update and standardize accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, and discount schedules directly in Excel, speeding up mass data updates and cleanup work. CloudExtend helped reduce the time spent on data cleansing to about a quarter of what it took with Data Loader, while also improving efficiency and reducing the risk of errors. The company planned to add more licenses so more Salesforce power users could use CloudExtend for faster data management.
