Zelenza is a technology services company that designs, installs and operates ICT infrastructures for telecommunications operators and public administrations. Facing an exponential increase in network data—generated by telecom work that makes up 70–80% of its workload—Zelenza needed a scalable, secure data platform that could handle massive volumes and support advanced analytics; traditional relational databases could not meet those demands. After evaluating options, the company chose Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) on Amazon Public Cloud for its cloud-native scalability, open-source compatibility and strong governance, working with Cloudera partner PUE for deployment and training.

Using CDP, Zelenza now ingests data from 144,000 mobile cells and computes 29 million KPIs every 15 minutes, enabling real-time behavioral predictions and proactive network management. This eliminated semi-manual analysis, lowered service costs, improved efficiency and network quality, and empowered operators to take targeted actions (antenna tweaks, frequency adjustments, base station reinforcement) to reduce churn—while laying the groundwork for future machine learning and AI use cases.
