Using data to connect job seekers, employers, and recruiters

France Travail, formerly Pôle Emploi, needed to better organize, store, and share more than 100 fragmented data sources so its advisors could support millions of job seekers and employers more effectively. Working with Cloudera, the agency also had to meet strict data privacy and sovereignty requirements while modernizing its data and analytics infrastructure.

Cloudera implemented an open data lakehouse platform powered by Iceberg, adding data governance, real-time analytics, machine learning, and AI capabilities in a secure, unified environment. The results included broader access to relevant job opportunities for job seekers, better CV and profile analysis, fraud detection, and AI-based discrimination risk flagging, while Cloudera met France Travail’s operational goals and technical KPIs.
