Optimized customer experience for national electricity distributor, Manila Electric Company (Meralco)

Meralco, the largest electric power distribution company in the Philippines, needed to strengthen its digital transformation and manage rapidly growing data from online channels and supply chain systems. The company wanted a robust data platform to eliminate data silos, improve customer service, and better support service provisioning and operations. Cloudera, together with Talend, helped Meralco build this capability using the MDP (Meralco Data Platform).

Cloudera and Talend implemented a custom analytics platform that processes Meralco’s data, supports machine learning, and delivers cleaner data for faster analytics, dashboards, and reporting. The solution improved turnaround time for electricity service provisioning, raised customer satisfaction, enabled predictive analytics for infrastructure issues, and helped reduce potential outages and emergency repairs. Meralco also launched M-Wing, a single-source KPI dashboard, as part of the Cloudera-led data strategy.
