Amdocs, a leading provider of software and services to communications and media companies, faced the challenge of real-time, accurate billing at massive telecom scale. With billions of usage events generated daily across 5G networks, Amdocs needed a secure way to store, process, and analyze real-time billing data so customers could deliver precise charges, instant balance updates, and personalized usage insights.

To address this, Amdocs used Cloudera in its Turbo Charging monetization engine, combining Cloudera’s secure, highly scalable, hybrid database with Apache Kafka for real-time streaming pipelines. Cloudera enabled Amdocs to manage billions of events per day from more than a billion subscribers, support on-premises and cloud deployments, and improve billing accuracy, revenue management, and data-driven monetization decisions.
