A large national health service organization faced growing volumes of customer and clinical data and needed to shift from slow, descriptive reporting to predictive analytics while securely managing sensitive data in a private cloud. They also wanted to remove IT bottlenecks, create a data lake for self-service access, and avoid risky, downtime-prone platform upgrades.

The organization deployed Cloudera’s enterprise platform and migrated to Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Private Cloud—managing 1,000+ nodes across 140+ use cases—to enable independent component upgrades, tenant isolation, ephemeral workloads, and separation of storage and compute. Early results include reduced outage risk during upgrades, faster real-time analysis, lower costs and operational impact, and accelerated time-to-value for new analytic use cases, with plans to adopt NiFi and Cloudera Data Science Workbench for broader streaming and data science capabilities.
