Krungsri Bank, one of Thailand’s leading retail banks, needed a more scalable data platform to keep up with rapid data growth and rising demand for personalized, real-time banking experiences. Its legacy architecture was becoming difficult to manage and analyze, limiting the bank’s ability to support machine learning, AI, and customer-first services. Cloudera was chosen to help modernize the bank’s data and analytics environment, including a unified data lakehouse.

With Cloudera and its Professional Services team, Krungsri Bank migrated applications and workflows to a tailored lakehouse architecture using tools like Apache NiFi, Hive, Impala, and Cloudera Data Science Workbench. The result was a 5x improvement in system performance, stronger SLAs, lower operating costs, and better customer customization. Cloudera also enabled self-service BI, a 360-degree customer view, and fraud detection use cases, supporting around 60 applications and 700 users.
