A Cloudera Case Study
Clearsense is a Jacksonville-based health-data company that tackled a common healthcare problem: fragmented, delayed data from EMRs, wearables and other sources that prevent timely clinical, financial and operational decisions. Many hospitals relied on legacy architectures and lacked teams with both clinical and data-engineering expertise, leaving providers unable to apply real-time predictive analytics where they needed it most.
To address this, Clearsense built its Inception platform on Hortonworks Data Platform and DataFlow to ingest, store and stream “SMART” real-time data in the cloud. The solution powers clinical surveillance (including Code Blue and sepsis predictions), financial and operational dashboards, and can be deployed rapidly and affordably for smaller and rural hospitals—delivering earlier detection, improved decision-making and lower cost barriers to advanced analytics.
