Hilton, a global hospitality company with about 5,500 hotels across 110 countries and a 60 million–member loyalty program, faced fragmented, siloed data across multiple warehouses that produced inconsistent insights. The business needed a single source of truth and real-time analytics to inform pricing, occupancy and personalized guest experiences—especially to react instantly to planned or unplanned events.
Hilton formed an Enterprise Information Management team and implemented a modern data architecture using Hortonworks Data Platform and Hortonworks Data Flow on a private AWS cloud, plus real-time dashboards and premier support. The result: unified access to data at rest and in motion, a 360° customer view, on‑the‑fly pricing and targeted selling, faster decision making, higher occupancy and revenue opportunities, and improved guest satisfaction.
