The Bank of Thailand (BOT) launched its Regulatory Data Transformation program to make sense of massive loan-level datasets and support better economic and policy decisions, but traditional SQL-based analysis created bottlenecks and limited access to insights. With Cloudera’s data management and analytics platform in a hybrid cloud environment, BOT needed a way to simplify querying and democratize data use for employees without deep technical skills.

Cloudera helped BOT build the SQL Coding Copilot, an AI-powered tool that turns natural language questions into SQL and uses metadata features to help users navigate complex data schemas. The result was faster, more accessible analysis and a stronger data-driven culture: over 100 examiners were upskilled through the Data Expert Program, and BOT significantly reduced the time and resources needed for data analysis while improving compliance, risk assessment, and decision-making.
