Quaero’s AdVantage platform helps media and brand clients (including ESPN and MSNBC) turn first‑party behavioral signals into personalized experiences and revenue, but the company struggled with exploding digital data and costly, inflexible Netezza appliances. Quaero needed a way to unify online and offline data, support continuous ingest and fine‑grained behavioral analytics, accurately track users, and scale incrementally without disruptive migrations.

Quaero migrated many workloads to a Cloudera enterprise data hub, leveraging Impala, Spark and BI tools (R, SAS, Tableau) with Cloudera Manager for operations, which enabled queries on raw, full‑scale datasets and faster model building. The new platform processes multiple petabytes (including ~0.5 billion daily clickstream records) and delivered strong client outcomes: 250% growth in registered users, 225% more content subscriptions, 2x CPMs, 150% higher content consumption and a 300% increase in email campaign responses.
