Simply Measured is a Seattle-based social analytics company that helps brands monitor conversations across major networks. Facing massive scale—billions of rows daily, roughly 300,000 tweets per hour and millions of Facebook API calls—the company outgrew its MongoDB and self-supported Hadoop setup and needed greater stability, real-time processing, and the ability to handle huge bursts of social data.

Simply Measured moved to Cloudera Enterprise, leveraging Apache Kafka and Flume for ingestion, HBase for storage, and Power BI for visualization, and is migrating clusters to AWS for burstable capacity. The new platform delivered faster, more stable real-time sentiment analytics (nearly 100 TB under management), enabling marketers to respond quickly to negative posts, optimize campaigns, and scale reliably.
