Bank Mandiri, Indonesia’s largest financial institution, faced severe disruption when COVID-19 mobility restrictions and economic slowdown increased loan delinquencies and forced a rapid shift to remote working. Using Cloudera’s Enterprise Information & Decision Platform and Data Science Workbench, Bank Mandiri consolidated data into a scalable data lake, processing 10 million records per day and launching three critical dashboards (liquidity, employee health, loan restructuring) within 24 hours. The solution cut data processing from seven days to hours, shortened loan qualification from five days to one, preserved liquidity (avoiding an estimated IDR 15 trillion / ~USD 1B loss), and prevented about IDR 105 billion (~USD 7.3M) of branch transaction losses per week.
