Cartao Elo, Brazil’s domestic credit card company processing over a million transactions per day (about 11% market share), needed to deliver personalized, context-aware offers in real time—for example, sending promotions to restaurant patrons during the window they’re dining. Elo implemented a Cloudera data lake and real-time analytics stack that unifies transaction data with social, beacon/IoT, maps and weather inputs, while Cloudera Navigator provides PCI-grade security.
