Axis Bank, one of India’s largest private sector banks, wanted to accelerate its digital transformation by moving from a product-centric to a customer-centric model. To do that, Axis Bank invested in Cloudera’s hybrid data, analytics, and AI platform to integrate cloud and on-premises data, improve multi-cloud flexibility, and support advanced analytics for more personalized banking experiences.
With Cloudera, Axis Bank built a personalization engine and end-to-end data pipeline on AWS, using Cloudera AI and the Open Data Lakehouse to power omnichannel marketing and machine learning use cases. The results included 45% of term deposits and 70% of instant credit card loans booked through personalized nudges, a 10% improvement in personal loan disbursal campaigns, and a 1.5x boost in BillPay registration campaigns, while also improving compliance and audit responsiveness.
