FastWeb, one of Italy’s leading telecommunications operators, needed a way to process large volumes of structured and unstructured network data in real time to improve customer service, reduce downtime, and support AI-driven network analytics. To meet these goals, FastWeb turned to Cloudera for a scalable data platform that could handle hybrid data close to the source while keeping costs under control.

Cloudera implemented its platform in FastWeb’s data centers, enabling high-frequency data processing, stronger governance through SDX, and reliable disaster recovery. As a result, FastWeb expanded from a single use case into a broader data-lake approach across the organization, improved automation and predictive modeling for network operations, and began extending the solution to marketing use cases for more targeted campaigns and customer insights.
