MediaMath, a programmatic advertising platform trusted by two-thirds of the Fortune 500, needed to control and optimize massive AWS workloads that process billions of daily events. Faced with lowering AWS costs across hundreds of accounts, improving security visibility, and reducing manual cost-allocation work, MediaMath partnered with CloudCheckr (now part of Spot by NetApp) to leverage CloudCheckr’s cloud optimization and governance platform.

CloudCheckr aggregated native AWS data, provided actionable dashboards, automated alerts and APIs, and delivered Reserved Instance recommendations that enabled MediaMath to automate cost and security management. Using CloudCheckr’s tools and automation, MediaMath reduced annual AWS spend by about $2 million, gained budget predictability and finer resource ownership, and improved its security posture and operational efficiency.
