EDF, a leading UK energy provider developing the Hinkley Point C nuclear site, needed a secure, scalable and user‑friendly visitor management system to handle high‑volume traffic, strict vetting and replication across multiple sites. Cloudbooking was engaged as EDF’s approved supplier to deliver a digital visitor management solution, including the CB Check‑in feature, to address customization, scalability and operational issues with the previous system.
Cloudbooking implemented a customised, multi‑level approval visitor management platform rolled out across four EDF sites (including Hinkley Point C), with CB Check‑in deployed on 17 devices. The system supports around 700 active EDF users, handled roughly 365 visitor bookings per week pre‑pandemic, provides live visitor analytics, reports no operational issues since launch, and delivered measurable improvements in security, usability and scalable expansion with ongoing tailored support from Cloudbooking.
